Abstract:
A component supply device is provided with: a fixed plate fixed within a housing and having a passage hole through which components pass; and a movable plate having a storage hole which penetrates in the vertical direction and which is a size for storing a prescribed number of components, the movable plate being laminated on an upper surface side of the fixed plate and moving such that the storage hole moves relative to the passage hole in a direction parallel to the upper surface of the fixed plate. The component supply device is further provided with: a control unit which controls the operation of the movable plate; and an elastic member disposed on an upper surface side of the movable plate, and which elastically deforms in the direction parallel to the upper surface of the movable plate. The control unit carries out: a forward direction operation in which the movable plate is moved from a first state, in which an upper surface side of the storage hole is opened and a lower surface side is closed by the fixed plate, until a second state is reached in which the storage hole and the passage hole are in communication such that a component can move from the storage hole to the passage hole; and a reverse direction operation in which once the second state is reached, the direction of movement is reversed to return to the first state; the control unit repeating said operations until a predetermined number of components has been output. If the movable plate moves when a portion of a component is projecting from an upper end of the storage hole, the elastic member removes the projecting component from the storage hole before the second state is reached, or is pressed and elastically deformed by the projecting component, and, due to the elastic force that is produced thereby, the projecting component is sandwiched between the wall surface of the storage hole and the elastic member for the duration of the second state.
