Abstract:
A welder for welding a component (1) comprising a shaft section (2) and a flange (3) to a steel plate component (44) through the flange (3). The welder comprises a supporting shaft (26) having a hole (37) for receiving the shaft section (2) of the component (1) at the end part, a supporting member (27) fixed rotatably about the axis of the supporting shaft (26), a supporting pipe (33) fixed to the supporting member (27) while passing an electrode wire (36) internally, and drive mechanisms (40, 41, 42) for rotating the supporting member (27). A head (34) at the forward end of the supporting pipe (33) is disposed closely to the opening of the receiving hole (37) at the end part of the supporting shaft (26) such that the electrode wire (36) faces the flange (3) of the component (1) under a state where the shaft section (2) is received in the receiving hole (37) and the forward end of the electrode wire (36) moves around the flange (3) as the supporting member (27) rotates.
