Abstract:
The present invention relates to a preparation method for a composite bipolar plate for a fuel cell and a design scheme of a three-dimensional flow field thereof. The composite bipolar plate has a three-layer structure consisting of a middle composite carbon plate having low gas permeability and outer expanded graphite plates having porous structures. A flow field is engraved on the outer porous expanded graphite plates, and the porous structures of the outer expanded graphite plates are utilized to increase the effective gas transmission area of the fuel cell and improve the drainage efficiency of the fuel cell. The three-dimensional flow field engraved on the expanded graphite plates is formed in such a way that a flow channel having a wide bottom and a narrow top and a conventional flow channel having a rectangular cross section are arranged at an interval. By controlling the opening and closing of the flow channel having a wide bottom and a narrow top, gas is forced to flow in a direction perpendicular to the surface of the bipolar plate to implement three-dimensional transmission of the gas, thus effectively improving the efficiency of a gas mass transfer process inside the fuel cell, preventing water flooding, and improving the power generation performance and operational stability of the fuel cell.
