Abstract:
Provided is a damping material which exhibits a more effective damping effect than that of a conventional damping material. This composite damping material (1) is a material in which needle-shaped high-permittivity dielectric bodies (3) made of titanium dioxide and organic piezoelectric fibers (4) are incorporated in a polymeric material (2) as a matrix, preferably, a material as described above, wherein inorganic flat fillers (5) and conductive fine particles (6) are further incorporated in the polymeric material (2). Cellulose fibers can be suitably used as the organic piezoelectric fibers (4).
