Abstract:
The present invention relates to a drug which contains a herbal composition obtained by extraction from a composite herbal preparation composition which gives an improvement of at least 85.5% in the inhibition of β-amyloid protein production as compared a composition comprising prior art ratios, namely Acori gramineri Rhizoma, Polygala tenuifolia, Hoelen cum radix, Crataegi fructus and Morinda officinalis root; when the prior art ratios of Acori gramineri Rhizoma 2 : Polygala tenuifolia 2 : Hoelen cum radix 2 : Crataegi fructus 2 : Morinda officinalis root 2, are changed to Acori gramineri Rhizoma 4 : Polygala tenuifolia 4 or 2 : Hoelen cum radix 2 or 4 : Crataegi fructus 2 : Morinda officinalis root 2. The present invention makes it possible to provide a composite herbal preparation for inhibiting declining memory and treating dementia, which is derived from an outstanding natural composite herbal drug that does not elicit feelings of rejection on the part of the user and has no other side effects.
