Abstract:
One composite material 100 of the present invention comprises; silicon particles or silicon fine particles 10 having a hydrogen generating ability; and a metal element (iron (Fe)) 20 that is carried on, bonded to, or adsorbed to at least part of the surfaces of the silicon particles or the silicon fine particles 10 or, alternatively, is chemically bonded to said surfaces. This composite material 100 can exhibit a remarkably exceptional hydrogen generating ability in comparison to silicon particles or silicon fine particles 10 in which the metal element 20 is scarcely carried, bonded, or adsorbed, or in which the metal element 20 is scarcely chemically bonded.
