Abstract:

This composite member 100 comprises an inorganic matrix portion 10 that is configured from an inorganic substance including a metal oxide hydroxide, and metal fibers 20 that have an aspect ratio of 100 or greater and are present in a dispersed state within the inorganic matrix portion 10. The porosity in a cross-section of the inorganic matrix portion 10 of the composite member 100 is 20% or less.
