Abstract:
The problem addressed by the present invention is to provide a composite wherein imbalance in weight or physical properties can be suppressed, a manufacturing method for the same, and a tubular body containing the composite.
Provided is a composite 1 having xerogel and a fibrous base material for carrying the xerogel, wherein the fibrous base material is formed in a sheet shape and has a plurality of end parts 71, 72, 73, 74 in planar directions S along a flat surface of the sheet shape. The xerogel is dispersed and carried within the base material such that the coefficient of variation for the amount of xerogel carried is 0.24 or less, said coefficient being obtained using the amount of xerogel carried per unit weight at each portion cut out in a prescribed volume in each of the plurality of end parts 71, 72, 73, 74 of the base material, and being obtained by dividing the standard deviation for the amount of xerogel carried by the average value.
