Abstract:
A composite optical material for augmenting color gamut, preparation method therefor and use thereof. The composite optical material comprises a transparent matrix (401) and an optical wavelength conversion material (402) discretely dispersed in the transparent matrix (401). The composite optical material is further discretely provided with several scattering particles (403). The composite optical material can absorb the light in a predetermined wavelength range, and at least partially convert the absorbed light into light in another wavelength range. The composite optical material is used in a color display, so that the color gamut can be augmented to 120% or more of that of before the use of the composite optical material, while the brightness of a light source is hardly affected, thus keeping a higher lighting effect.
