Title:
COMPOSITE PIEZOELECTRIC BODY
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2003/088369
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A composite piezoelectric body, comprising mainly a piezoelectric ceramics and a high polymer having a bulk density reduced to 0.4 g/cm3 or less by diffusing air bubbles therein, whereby the bulk density can be lowered, an electromechanical coupling factor can be increased despite the fact that the volume ratio of the piezoelectric ceramics is small, an acoustic impedance can be decreased, and a productivity can also be increased in manufacturing an ultrasonic probe.
