Abstract:
A composite sensor having an angular velocity sensor element; an acceleration
sensor element; a signal processing IC for processing signals from the angular
velocity sensor element and the acceleration sensor element; an inner package
for receiving the angular velocity sensor element, the acceleration sensor
element, and the signal processing IC; a connection member connected to the inner
package and elastically deformable; and a stationary member connected to the
connection member and holding the inner package through the connection member.
Either the acceleration sensor element or the signal processing IC is placed
on the right side of the center of the inner package and the other is placed on the
left side of the center of the inner package. The composite sensor can receive
the angular velocity sensor element and the acceleration sensor element in one
package with characteristics of the angular velocity sensor element maintained.
