Abstract:
Provided is a composite separation membrane having improved separation performance, in particular, a composite separation membrane having improved permeate flux. The composite separation membrane comprises a porous support (2) and a separation function layer (1) formed on the support (2). The separation function layer (1) is a polyamide film which has a "double-fold structure" consisting of a first layer part (11) provided with multiple projections (15a, 15b and so on) and a second layer part (12) covering at least some of these projections (15c, 15d). Some of the multiple projections (15a, 15b) in the first layer part (11) extend upward and branch to form the second layer part (12). A void (13) is formed between the first layer part (11) and the second layer part (12).
