Abstract:
A composite series digital power amplifier, belonging to the technical field of digital power amplifiers. A front-stage module and a rear-stage module are connected in series; the front-stage module uses a high-voltage power supply, a high-voltage switch device and a control loop, can operate at a relatively low frequency to reduce switch loss, provides a high-voltage and high-power output, but does not require a detail control capability, and has a relatively large output ripple; and the rear-stage module comprises a floating low-voltage power supply, a low-voltage switch device and a control loop, operates at a very high switch frequency, has a very small output ripple, and has fine output voltage control, so that the whole circuit satisfies a high power and achieves extremely high performance on an index such as distortion, and the present invention can greatly improve the output performance of a digital power amplifier. The frequency of the front stage is reduced, and ordinary and fewer MOS transistors that are less costly can be used, so that the front stage greatly reduces the cost of a high-voltage MOS; and the rear stage slightly increases the cost, so that the total cost can be greatly reduced.
