Abstract:
Provided are: a composite stretchable member that enables design properties to be improved at the time of contraction; and a wearable article using the same. A composite stretchable member (1) which is stretchable in a specific direction (A) comprises: two mutually-opposing sheets (2a, 2b); and a plurality of elastic members (10) that extend along the specific direction (A) so as to be stretchable in the specific direction (A) between the two sheets (2a, 2b). The sheets (2a, 2b) are joined together by a plurality of first joining parts (4). The first joining parts (4) each extend continuously along an intersection direction (B) that intersects the specific direction (A), so as to intersect the plurality of elastic members (10). The elastic members (10) are respectively joined to the sheets (2a, 2b) at intersection points (4a) where the elastic members intersect the first joining parts (4). The first joining parts (4) have a wavy line shape extending in the intersection direction (B) so that protrusions and recesses appear alternately in a continuous manner. Two adjacent first joining parts (4) are arranged so that the protrusions or recesses at least partially overlap each other.
