Abstract:
To manufacture a highly pressure-resistant composite structure suitable for a channel in which the number of components is reduced while maintaining high allowable stress and the excellent chemical resistance inherent to a glass substrate and a resin substrate. The surface of a glass substrate is modified with a hydrolyzable silicon compound, and the glass substrate and the resin substrate are brought into contact with each other. Next, the contact surface between the glass substrate and the resin substrate is heated to a temperature no less than the glass transition temperature and no greater than the thermal decomposition temperature of the resin substrate, thereby eliminating any gaps between the glass substrate and the resin substrate and bringing the glass substrate and the resin substrate in intimate contact with each other. A chemical bond or an anchoring effect is then generated between the glass substrate and the resin substrate with the hydrolyzable silicon compound interposed therebetween, and the glass substrate and the resin substrate are fixed to each other.
