Abstract:
The present invention relates to a use of pinitol, D-chiro-inositol or an analog compound thereof, for preventing, alleviating or treating premenstrual syndrome. Pinitol, D-chiro-inositol or an analog compound thereof, of the present invention, has an effect of alleviating menstrual pain, a painful menstrual period and cold hands and feet, which are the main symptoms of premenstrual syndrome, thereby being developable into a drug or a nutraceutical for preventing, alleviating or treating premenstrual syndrome. D-Chiro-inositol, pinitol or an analog compound thereof, of the present invention, is derived from a natural product, thereby showing very few side effects when applied to the human body.
