Abstract:
There has been no drug for treating peripheral nerve disorders which occur as a side effect of drugs, in particular, of anticancer drugs such as oxaliplatin. This composition for ameliorating peripheral nerve disorders, which is characterized by including an extract of Lentinus edodes mycelia, ameliorates disorders induced by drugs such as anticancer drugs, including: numbness in the limbs, pain in the limbs, diminished deep tendon reflexes, reduced muscle strength, allodynia, hyperalgesia, fine motor function impairment of the fingers, impaired walking, stumbling, falling, flexion impairment (difficulty with or inability to sit on one's knees, cross-legged, sideways, in a chair, or the like), and paralysis of the limbs.
