Abstract:
The present invention discloses a composition employing guaiacol and 4',6,7-trimethoxyisoflavone for ameliorating pulmonary fibrosis, which inhibits the TGF-β1 signaling pathway in A549 cells, which are lung cancer-derived cells, to suppress EMT, without special cytotoxicity against A549 cells, and regulates the expression of a pulmonary fibrosis-related factor in A549 cells treated with epidermal growth factor (EGF) or bleomycin, which induces pulmonary fibrosis, or with CoCl2 that induces a hypoxic condition, while exhibiting the effect of ameliorating pulmonary fibrosis in an animal model in which pulmonary fibrosis has been induced by administration of bleomycin thereto.
