Abstract:
The present invention relates to a composition containing euscaphic acid and use thereof for improving muscular function or enhancing exercise performance and, more specifically, to a food composition, a health functional food composition and/or a pharmaceutical composition for improving muscular function or enhancing exercise performance by using euscaphic acid, which improves muscular function and exhibits an excellent effect of enhancing exercise performance by controlling various factors involved in muscle damage, muscle fatigue, and/or endurance. Furthermore, the present invention provides a method for improving muscular function or enhancing exercise performance by using euscaphic acid and provides use of euscaphic acid in the manufacture of a food or medicine for improving muscular function or enhancing exercise performance.
