Abstract:

A composition having excellent antioxidant power, especially the excellent function of eliminating active oxygen and/or free radicals. The composition comprises reduced-form coenzyme Q₁₀ and a carotenoid compound and has the synergistically enhanced effect of eliminating active oxygen and/or free radicals. Also provided is a method of eliminating active oxygen and/or free radicals which comprises using a composition comprising both of reduced-form coenzyme Q₁₀ and a carotenoid compound.
