Abstract:
The present invention relates to a composition comprising suberic acid or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof as an active ingredient for preventing hair loss or stimulating new hair growth, more specifically to a pharmaceutical composition, a quasi-drug composition, a cosmetics composition and a functional health food composition containing suberic acid or a salt thereof as an active ingredient for preventing and treating hair loss, and stimulating new hair growth or lengthening. The composition according to the present invention, with respect to the chronic condition of hair loss, contains a natural compound as an active ingredient having no adverse effects even when administered long-term, and is highly effective and stable for growth and lengthening of new hair, and thus can be effectively used as a hair loss preventing or treating agent, a pharmaceutical product for stimulating new hair growth and lengthening, a quasi-drug, cosmetics material, and a functional health food composition.
