Abstract:
The present invention relates to a composition containing Artemisia capillaris, Sanguisorba officinalis, and Curcuma longa extracts and an antiviral agent, as active ingredients, for preventing or treating liver disease. The co-administration of Artemisia capillaris, Sanguisorba officinalis, and Curcuma longa extracts and an antiviral agent for hepatitis B according to the present invention suppresses the hepatitis B virus e antigen and effectively inhibits the expression of inflammatory cytokine TNF-α, IL-1β, or TGF-β, so that the inhibition of cirrhosis or liver cancer as well as the treatment of hepatitis B can be expected.
