Abstract:
The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition, a health functional food composition, and medicine and quasi-drug compositions, containing diosmin or a salt thereof as an active ingredient and having skin wrinkle alleviation, skin moisturizing improvement, skin exfoliation, skin elasticity enhancement, skin wrinkle alleviation, erythema inhibition, and skin photoaging retardation effects. Diosmin or a salt thereof according to the present invention exhibits skin moisture content improvement, skin moisture loss reduction, procollagen secretion increase, collagen biosynthesis promotion, collagen fiber damage inhibition, collagen fiber decomposition inhibition, erythema inhibition, and epidermal hypertrophy inhibition activities, and thus can be usefully applied as a material for a functional cosmetic, a health functional food, a medicine, a quasi drug, or the like for providing skin moisturizing improvement, skin exfoliation, skin elasticity enhancement, skin wrinkle alleviation, erythema inhibition, skin wrinkle alleviation, and/or skin photoaging retardation effects.
