Abstract:
The present invention relates to a composition containing a mixed extract of mulberry and Poria cocos bark as an effective ingredient for preventing, improving, or treating neurodegenerative disorders, and to a use thereof. The mixed extract of mulberry and Poria cocos bark contained as an effective ingredient in the composition of the present invention has a function of protecting neurons by generation of beta-amyloid, inhibition of tau phosphorylation, and promotion of NFG generation, and a function of improving memory by protection of neurons and inhibition of acetylcholinesterase, and thus can be usefully used in a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating neurodegenerative disorders or a functional food for said purpose.
