Abstract:
The present invention relates to a composition containing osmotin peptide as an active ingredient for the prevention or treatment of obesity. Specifically, the present invention provides a composition for the prevention or treatment of obesity wherein the osmotin peptide is osmotin peptide formed of nine amino acids, and as a result of administering the osmotin peptide via injection in the abdominal cavity for ten days, and collecting and analyzing blood, the weight of the osmotin peptide-administered group was confirmed to have markedly decreased compared to the weight of the unadministered group.
