The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a composition for controlling sugar beet cercospora leaf spot disease that causes enormous damage in sugar beet cultivation; and a method for controlling sugar beet cercospora leaf spot disease using said composition. The present invention pertains to an isothianil-containing composition for controlling sugar beet cercospora leaf spot disease, and a method for controlling sugar beet cercospora leaf spot disease, the method comprising applying at least once the isothianil-containing composition for controlling sugar beet cercospora leaf spot disease. The composition for controlling sugar beet cercospora leaf spot disease may further contain an agent for controlling sugar beet cercospora leaf spot disease other than isothianil.
