Abstract:
Disclosed are a composition for covering an electrical wire, an insulated wire and a wiring harness, each of which has flame retardancy, while exhibiting excellent heat resistance, wear resistance and flexibility. The composition for covering an electrical wire, the insulated wire and the wiring harness are obtained at low cost using a non-crosslinkable material.
Specifically, an insulated wire having an insulation thickness of 0.5 mm or less and an outer diameter of 4 mm or less is obtained by providing a composition, which is composed of (A) a polypropylene, (B) a polyolefin elastomer, (C) a bromine flame retardant, (D) antimony trioxide, (E) magnesium hydroxide, (F) (F1) zinc sulfide or (F2) zinc oxide and (F3) mercaptobenzimidazole and (G) a hindered phenol antioxidant, around a conductor. A wiring harness is configured using the insulated wire.
