Title:
COMPOSITION FOR ENHANCEMENT OF IMMUNE ACTIVITY CONTAINING GENIPIN OR DERIVATIVE THEREOF AND USE THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2016/159435
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a composition for enhancement of immune activity containing genipin or a derivative thereof and to a use thereof and, more specifically, provides a pharmaceutical composition or food composition for enhancement of immune activity containing genipin or a derivative thereof. The genipin or derivative thereof according to the present invention exhibits effects, such as increasing the number of CD4+ T cells and CD8+ T cells and decreasing the number of regulatory T cells (Treg). In addition, the genipin or derivative thereof is a natural material, and thus can also reduce side effects that frequently occur from chemical materials. Therefore, it is expected that the genipin or derivative thereof can be favorably used as an active ingredient of a pharmaceutical composition or food composition for enhancement of immune activity.
