Abstract:
The present invention provides: a composition which is capable of forming a film having high refractive index and which exhibits excellent developability and curability; a film; an optical device; and a compound.
A composition according to the present invention contains a compound represented by general formula (1).
In general formula (1), each of Ar1-Ar4 moieties independently represents an aromatic ring group. In this connection, at least one of the Ar1-Ar4 moieties is a polycyclic aromatic group and satisfies the requirement 1 or requirement 2 described below.
Requirement 1: At least one of the Ar1-Ar4 moieties has a substituent that contains an acid group and a polymerizable group.
Requirement 2: At least one of the Ar1-Ar4 moieties has a substituent that contains an acid group, and at least one of the Ar1-Ar4 moieties has a substituent that contains a polymerizable group.
