Abstract:
A composition having an air cleaning power which comprises a reaction product of at least one metal selected from among Fe, Mn, Cr, Ni, Zn, Al and Cu and alloys containing these metallic elements with tannic and/or gallic acid, or a reaction product of said at least one metal with at least one acid which is selected from among ascorbic, citric, tartaric and gluconic acids and which contains tannic and/or gallic acid, and a coexistent component comprising said at least one metal, in an unreacted state, coexistent with said reaction product and optionally further iron hydroxide and/or a sulfide.
