Abstract:
The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition, a health functional food composition, and a medical product and quasi-drug product composition, all of which have effects of skin wrinkle alleviation, skin moisturization improvement, skin exfoliation, skin elasticity enhancement, skin wrinkle alleviation, erythema inhibition, and skin photoaging alleviation and contain, as an active ingredient, any one or more selected from the group consisting of cymene, behenic acid, 2-methoxynaphthalene, thymol, and a salt thereof. The cymene, behenic acid, 2-methoxynaphthalene, thymol, or the salt thereof, of the present invention, exhibits activities of enhancing skin moisture content, decreasing the amount of skin moisture evaporation, increasing the amount of procollagen secretion, promoting collagen biosynthesis, inhibiting damage to collagen fibers, inhibiting decomposition of collagen fibers, inhibiting erythema, and inhibiting epidermal hyperplasia, thereby being usable as a material for a functional cosmetic product, a health functional food, a medical product or a quasi-drug product for providing effects of skin moisturization improvement, skin exfoliation, skin elasticity enhancement, skin wrinkle alleviation, erythema inhibition, skin wrinkle alleviation, and/or skin photoaging alleviation.
