Abstract:
Provided is a practical and effective method for taking lactic acid or the like during exercise, etc. Provided is a food composition for high-density supply of an energy source, said composition containing a carbohydrate and lactic acid or the like in an amount effective for the supply. Preferably, provided is a beverage that contains 3% or more of a carbohydrate and 0.3% or more and less than 5.0%, in terms of lactic acid, of lactic acid or the like, or a solid matter that is to be dissolved for preparing the beverage. The content of lactic acid or the like is preferably 0.3-3.0% inclusive, in terms of lactic acid.
