The present invention demonstrates that the cultured product of propionic acid bacteria has a skin condition-improving effect. A composition containing the cultured product of propionic acid bacteria improves the condition of skin and, in particular, inhibits pigmentation. The composition is formed from components proven to be safe and to have superior gustatory characteristics on the basis of a long history of consumption, and long-term consumption of the composition is possible. Fermented milk components can be further added to the composition. When ingested, the composition can be expected to have an intestinal function-regulating effect and a skin condition-improving effect.
