Abstract:
The present description discloses a novel use of genistein and epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), a derivative thereof, an isomer thereof, a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, a prodrug thereof, a hydrate thereof, and a solvate thereof. A composition comprising genistein and EGCG, a derivative thereof, an isomer thereof, a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, a prodrug thereof, a hydrate thereof, or a solvate thereof reduces the expression of a factor related to the increase of a melanin pigment forming ability, reduces the expression of a senescence marker protein, and adjusts the expression of an enzyme related to the formation of melanin pigments, and thus may have an effect of rejuvenating cells including melanin cells.
