Abstract:
Provided are a composition for an ink absorption layer for an inkjet printer which includes an aqueous polyester resin, a polyvinyl chloride resin and a filler, where the glass transition temperature of the aqueous polyester resin is between 20 and 50ºC and the content of the polyvinyl chloride resin is 50 to 90 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the aqueous polyester resin; and a printing medium for an inkjet printer which includes an ink absorption layer formed using the composition. The composition for an ink absorption layer for an inkjet printer has excellent usability since an organic solvent is not used and causes no deformation or damage in materials since the drying temperature is low. In addition, the composition can be applied to various base materials and thus exhibits excellent printing adaptability even with a UV ink or a latex ink, and a printing medium for an inkjet printer which exhibits excellent drying properties and colour formation can be manufactured.
