Provided is a composition for limiting phosphorous absorption, the composition including a fermented dairy product and a galactooligosaccharide. Further provided is a composition for treating and/or preventing disease caused by the excessive intake of phosphorous, the composition including a fermented dairy product and a galactooligosaccharide.
