Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2021/015289
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
To provide a medicine or a food and drink and a feed which are effective in preventing and/or ameliorating memory/learning ability deterioration due to aging. Provided is a novel lactic acid bacterium having the effect of preventing and/or ameliorating memory/learning ability deterioration due to aging. Specifically, the lactic acid bacterium belongs to the heterofermentative Lactobacillus genus. More specifically, the lactic acid bacterium is characterized by being a lactic acid bacterium belonging to any of the Lactobacillus harbinensis species, Lactobacillus rhamnosus species, Lactobacillus casei species, Lactobacillus paracasei species, Lactobacillus fermentum species, Lactobacillus mucosae species, and Lactobacillus reuteri species.
