Abstract:
The present invention provides: a composition from which an optically anisotropic film exhibiting reverse wavelength dispersibility and having an Nz factor of about 0.50 (0.40-0.60) can be formed; an optically anisotropic film; a circularly polarizing plate; and a display device. A composition according to the present invention exhibits lyotropic liquid crystallinity and contains: a non-colorable rod-shaped compound having an acid group or a salt thereof; a non-colorable plate-shaped compound having an acid group or a salt thereof; and a salt composed of cations and anions, wherein the ratio derived from equation (W) is 0.25-1.75, and the maximum absorption wavelength of the rod-shaped compound in a wavelength range of 230-400 nm is smaller than the maximum absorption wavelength of the plate-shaped compound in a wavelength range of 230-400 nm.
