Abstract:
The present invention relates to a composition for preventing, ameliorating, or treating neurodegenerative disorders, containing, as active ingredients, turmeric, gastrodia, milkwort, Salvia miltiorrhiza, Chinese quince, white woodland peony, licorice, atractylodes root, and Pulvis Aconiti Tuberis Purificatum, and, particularly, to a composition for preventing, ameliorating, or treating neurodegenerative disorders, containing, as active ingredients, 3 to 4 parts by weight of licorice, 1 to 2 parts by weight of Pulvis Aconiti Tuberis Purificatum, 0.5 to 1 parts by weight of each of turmeric, gastrodia, milkwort, Salvia miltiorrhiza, Chinese quince, and atractylodes root, on the basis of 3 to 4 parts by weight of white woodland peony. The composition according to the present invention does not have cytotoxicity and side effects, and has effects of ameliorating neuroinflammation and protecting nerve cells, thereby having an effect of preventing, ameliorating, or treating neurodegenerative disorders.
