Abstract:
The present invention relates to a composition for preventing or improving skeletal muscle atrophy. The composition for preventing or improving skeletal muscle atrophy containing kukoamine A and kukoamine B as active ingredients reduces the activity of proteins involved in muscle fiber atrophy, induces the synthesis of proteins involved in muscle fiber formation, and has high safety, and thus can be effectively used to prevent, improve, and treat skeletal muscle atrophy.
