The present invention relates to: a composition for preventing plant diseases, containing, as an active ingredient, Bacillus amyloliquefaciens JCK-12 strain producing iturin; and a use thereof. According to the present invention, it was ascertained that the Bacillus amyloliquefaciens strain and iturin, which is an active ingredient isolated therefrom, are harmless to the human body, do not cause environmental pollution and show excellent prevention activity against various phytopathogens. Therefore, the present invention can be provided as an innovative biological prevention agent capable of replacing, as a biopesticide for preventing plant diseases, a chemical pesticide and capable of preventing problems caused by environmental pollution.
