Abstract:
The present invention relates to a composition for preventing or treating cancer, specifically a brain tumor, and more specifically glioblastoma. The present invention exhibits a remarkable inhibitory effect on cancer cell proliferation through co-administration of a pyrazolyl benzamide derivative compound and a cAMP activator even at a low dose at which no significant anticancer activity would be measured when administered alone. Accordingly, the composition of the present invention may be used as an effective anticancer composition capable of long-term, low-dose administration without tolerance or side effects. The present invention directly converts malignant glioblastoma into benign nerve cells to simultaneously achieve removal of a tumor and quantitative restoration of lost cells, such that the present invention may also be used as a disease-modifying drug composition that reversibly recovers nervous tissue damaged by a tumor, by moving away from conventional symptomatic treatment.
