Abstract:
The present invention relates to a composition for prevention, alleviation, or treatment of dry eye syndrome or dry eye syndrome-related ophthalmologic diseases. In the present invention, the protein kinase A (PKA) cell signaling system is activated to effectively reverse the lipid synthesis decrease that may be caused by meibomian gland dysfunction, whereby the lipids secreted from the meibomian gland decrease moisture evaporation from the ocular surface and thus can prevent, alleviate, or treat dry eye syndrome or dry eye syndrome-related ophthalmologic diseases.
