Abstract:
The object of the present invention is to provide compositions that effectively reduce AβO neurotoxicity and compositions that are useful for the prevention and treatment of AD. For the object, as one aspect of the present invention, a composition for prevention and/or treatment for Alzheimer's disease and/or Alzheimer dementia comprises tyrosol, a derivative thereof, and/or a salt thereof as an effective component. Further, as another aspect of the present invention, a composition for reducing amyloid-β oligomer neurotoxicity comprises tyrosol, a derivative thereof, and/or a salt thereof as effective component. Furthermore, as another aspect of the present invention, a composition for prevention and/or treatment for Alzheimer's disease and/or Alzheimer dementia comprises plant extract as an effective component, which includes tyrosol, a derivative thereof, and/or a salt thereof. Furthermore, as another aspect of the present invention, a composition for reducing amyloid-β oligomer neurotoxicity comprises plant extract as an effective component, which includes tyrosol, a derivative thereof, and/or a salt thereof.
