Abstract:
The present invention relates to a composition for protecting and preserving cartilage comprising 3'-sialyllactose and 6'-sialyllactose as active ingredients and, more specifically, to a food composition for protecting cartilage comprising 3'-sialyllactose and 6'-sialyllactose, and to a composition for preventing cartilage loss caused by aging or preserving cartilage. 3'-sialyllactose and 6'-sialyllactose, according to the present invention, are excellent in protecting cartilage and preventing cartilage loss, and therefore can be used in various ways such as in food and pharmaceutical compositions for protecting cartilage or treating degenerative arthritis.
