Abstract:
The present specification discloses a composition for skin whitening comprising an SH3BP4 expression- or activity-inhibiting material as an active ingredient, and a method for screening the SH3BP4 expression- or activity-inhibiting material. The composition comprising the SH3BP4 expression- or activity-inhibiting material as an active ingredient can provide an excellent whitening effect by decreasing the melanin content in the skin. Also, the screening method confirms the relative expression inhibition level of the SH3BP4 gene, thereby simply screening a skin whitening material.
