Abstract:
The present specification discloses a composition for skin whitening comprising a TNFRSF14 expression- or activity-inhibiting material as an active ingredient, and a method for screening the TNFRSF14 expression- or activity-inhibiting material. The composition comprising the TNFRSF14 expression- or activity-inhibiting material as an active ingredient can provide an excellent whitening effect by decreasing the melanin content in the skin. Also, the screening method confirms the relative expression inhibition level of the TNFRSF14 gene, thereby simply screening a skin whitening material.
