Abstract:
A composition of a sunflower seed protein or an isolated protein, protein hydrolysate or concentrated protein thereof, and the use thereof in the preparation of a drug, nutritional product, health-care product, food product, beverage and animal feed for regulating intestinal flora. The composition of the sunflower seed protein or the isolated protein, protein hydrolysate or concentrated protein thereof can significantly increase the level of first intestinal microflora in a subject, and simultaneously reduce the level of second intestinal microflora in the subject so as to improve the intestinal health, thereby improving overall health. The first intestinal microflora is Lactobacillus acidophilus or Bifidobacterium, and the second intestinal microflora is Escherichia coli or Staphylococcus aureus.
