Abstract:

Disclosed is a composition for use in the formation of a hardcoat layer, which comprises: (A) a composite oxide microparticle having an average particle diameter ranging from 1 to 200 nm, containing titanium and tin and optionally silicon and has a rutile-type crystalline structure; (B) an organic silicon compound represented by the formula: R1 aR2 bSi(OR3)4-(a+b) and/or a hydrolysate thereof; and (C) a cyanamide derivative compound. A hardcoat layer produced from the composition has good transparency, scratch resistance, adhesiveness, weather resistance, impact resistance and the like and shows no or less discoloration (specifically, blue or yellow discoloration) by irradiation with ultraviolet ray even when an antireflection film is provided.
