Abstract:
Provided are: a compound that contains a phenolic hydroxyl group and that has superior thermal resistance and flame resistance of the cured product thereof; a phenolic resin containing the compound that contains a phenolic hydroxyl group; a curable composition and cured product thereof; and a semiconductor sealing material. The compound that contains a phenolic hydroxyl group is characterized by having a dinaphthofuran skeleton, and the two naphthylene skeletons each have a hydroxyl group on the aromatic nucleus thereof.
